Improve Your Swim Technique Today!

Video Analysis

Video analysis is one of the more powerful ways to understand what is happening in your body while swimming. Not only do we observe the relationship between your moving body parts and your body’s interaction with the water, but we also gain insight into what is happening inside your body, identifying your strengths and opportunities for development.

You will benefit from our biomechanically-astute approach to analysing your body position and movement patterns. Using SwimMastery’s fundamental and advanced skills framework, our video analysis service provides a logical assessment of your highest-priority needs and guidance on how to make the necessary changes to improve your swimming performance.

Video Shooting Guidelines

Video Shoot Standards

Please aim for these standards as you shoot your video:

Take some practice shots first to make sure you get the intended view.

Capture the full body in the video frame.Keep the camera very stable.

Keep lighting behind the camera so that swimmer is illuminated (rather than put into silhouette).

Have camera between swimmer and windows with outside light, or underwater lights.

Capture 8 to 12 whole strokes in sequence for each view we ask for.

Swim with the stroke intensity that matches the way you normally swim.
