Who is the Swim Camp For?
This swim camp is ideal for the more advanced swimmer who has perhaps already attended a previous SwimMastery Camp or has had lessons with a SwimMastery Coach and enjoys swimming in beautiful bays with fantastic visibility, enjoying food at small restaurants and cafes and being away from tourists and crowds. From a 2km swimmer to an experienced open water swimmer, we welcome a range of swimmers on our camps. This could be your opportunity to set your goal, perhaps to extend your previous distances in open water or to swim the same distance faster or with better technique. No matter what your goal is this camp has something for everyone.

DAY ONE.
We will meet in the afternoon for our orientation. We spend some time talking about your goals for the camp and talking about safety during the camp. ,
We then do an exploration swim of Oitylo Bay.
DAY TWO.
We begin our day with technique practice commencing on Oitylo Beach learning more about the SwimMastery technique, joint mechanics and how to use "cues" to focus our attention.
In the afternoon we meet for our point to point swim across the bay as an opportunity to embed our learnings from the morning.
DAY THREE.
Today we take a day trip to a neighbouring beach. We find a beautiful location to combine technique practice with open water swims in new locations.
We will find a location for lunch and have a little down time to relax. In the afternoon we continue take our technique learnings from the morning into the open water and put them to work.
DAY FOUR.
We spend some time this morning learning some advanced technique cues and incorporate some work with tempo and stroke counting in the bays around Limeni.
The afternoon is free time for you to relax or to do some exploring in neighbouring areas such as:
Diros Caves
Areopoli
Oitilo
Gythio
DAY FIVE.
Today is the adventure swim day. It’s what you’ve been working towards all week - an opportunity to embed learnings, imprint you new techniques, swim longer distances, explore different bays, etc.. This is the capstone event of our camp.
The afternoon is then free for you to explore more of this beautiful area. We meet for dinner to celebrate your achievements.
DAY SIX.
After an amazing 5 days of exploring, learning, practicing and swimming in beautiful locations we meet for our final early morning swim. We say our goodbyes and take home some beautiful memories of our swimming adventures in Greece.
You can reach the area by airplane or by car from other parts of the Greek mainland.
The closest airport is the international airport of Kalamata, about 88 km away. From there, you drive to the Provincial Road that connects Kalamata to Areopoli until you reach Limeni.
If you drive from Athens or Patra to Limeni you need to get to the Olympia Odos highway with direction to Sparta and then follow the signs towards the Provincial Road Kalamata-Areopoli.
The area does not have frequent public transport. A rental car is the easiest way to reach Limeni and explore the area while you are here.
It is a condition of your booking that you purchase travel insurance which includes, but is not limited to, cover for illness, accident, emergency repatriation, ambulance, air ambulance, helicopter rescue services, cancellation, lost luggage and delays. Your travel insurance should also cover you for open water swimming and any other activity listed in your trip itinerary. Please read your policy details carefully and remember to take them with you on your trip for your own reference.
COVID Procedures
We ask that you take a COVID-19 test before travelling to Greece and to only travel if you receive a negative result. We also require that all guests are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
